When: November 6, 2017

Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: The Mall (Whitehouse), Washington DC

Lincoln, Nebraska   9:00AM

Note: This is not a protest, but instead a gathering to support the President of the US and Congress and prayerfully as for their support in the following:

A critical need exists to stand with our Karen people in Kawthoolei and ask for support from the US Government. If we do not act now, over the next year, we could see very drastic changes that would result in more suffering for our Karen people. For evil to prevail, good people must say and do nothing. All Karen must come together and speak up with solidarity, to stand with our Karen people in Kawthoolei. Karen from all over the United States will assemble at least 10,000 Karen people, in Washington DC on November 6, 2017 to support President Trump and the US Congress in helping our Karen people through the following requested actions:

1. Clarify that the ethnic cleansing that is occurring in the Burma region, has been occurring for decades that includes the Karen, Kachin, Shan, Karenni, and others to eradicate all the ethnic nationalities, not just the Rohingya’s as has been recently reported and circulated by the Burmese Army.

2. Reinstate harsh economic sanctions against Burma forcing them back to the table to reconstitute the NCA to include all stakeholder ethnic groups allowing for a federal system with each ethnic nationality to have its own autonomous region and constitution.

3. Request all US allies to immediately stop selling and shipping weaponry and provide military training to the Burmese Army.

We hope we can count on your support as we need at least 10,000 of the almost 70,000 current people in United States.
