Why –

Am I raped, beaten, and imprisoned?

Must I porter for the Tatmadaw?

Did I lose my leg because of a landmine?

Must I hide in the jungle?

Can’t I get medical care and an education?

Did they force my 15 year old boy to be a Tatmadaw soldier?

Are my money, food, crops, land, and animals stolen by soldiers?

Have I been in a refugee camp for twenty years?

Should I have to be resettled in America?

Am I losing my culture?

Must I work as an illegal migrant?

Am I, an ethnic nationality, not treated as an equal and with respect in Burma after sixty-five years?

Because –

The ethnic and the NLD leaders can only:

Talk

Meet

Write

Travel

I have no leaders who can:

Analyze

Plan

Collaborate

Act

The opposition is not united:

Democracy versus ethnic autonomy.

Burman versus ethnic nationalities.

Karen versus Karen; Shan versus Ta’ang, Wa, Pa-O, Lahu, and Jingpaw.

NLD versus the ethnic political parties.

Self-interests versus common good.

Buddhist versus Christian and Muslim.

Educated versus uneducated.

Rural versus urban.

I let this happen by my political correctness and silence!!!

Enough!

I will not be politically correct or silent any longer!!

If you cannot lead, move aside for those who can!

If you don’t move aside, we will move you aside!

If you can lead, then show me by your actions, not words:

Less meetings and talk, more action and results! Talk-Action = ZERO!

Develop and put into action a realistic plan for ethnic autonomy by 2015!

Build a sustainable united opposition and military capability!

Stop trading our equality for economic bribes from the government!

Be as willing to fight as talk to achieve our aspirations!

Break the ceasefires and fight to liberate the country, not just the ethnic areas, if the government does not negotiated in good faith and a timely manner by the end of 2014!

If you are Tatmadaw:

Fight honorably – don’t beat, shoot, rape, and treat our innocent ethnic children women, and elderly badly!

Honor the ceasefire agreements you have signed with our ethnic resistance groups!

Know that if we do not get our equality with you soon, our resistance groups will bring war to you in your Burman areas as you are bringing now, and have brought, to us in our ethnic areas!

If you are a Burman:

Understand why we, the ethnic people, fight. Every day, year after year,  we are beaten, shot, raped, forced into labor, pushed from our villages, losing arms and legs from landmines ..you have not! Feel our pain!

Tell us that you are sorry for how you have treated us and ignored our aspirations for equality with you for so long!

Show us that you want us ethnic peoples to be part of Myanmar – where one kyat equals one kyat!

Know that your democracy will not work unless and until you give us ethnic equality with you!

If you are a foreign government or organization:

Understand that Burma is not truly free, not because of the lack of democracy, but the lack of ethnic equality!

Stop pushing more and more of us into poverty every day by your irresponsible pouring of money into our country causing the prices of everything to go up!

Don’t come into our ethnic areas with your humanitarian aid and development to “help us”, yet “harm us” by extending the government’s control and undermining our own political leadership!

Equality through autonomy to the ethnic peoples by 2015!

No more talk, excuses, or “long struggles”!!

Just do it!!!
