Today, May 2, battles took place between the TNLA and MT troops at two places, first at a location near TortSan village of Kyaukme Township, Bde-2 Area, Ta’ang State, and then on the ridge of LwehYin Hill, at the Upper Side of NyaungPanLa.

At 0900 hours, the battle took place between TNLA Bn-987 and MT Div-77 troops, and at 1130 hours the battle was between the TNLA Bn-666 and again with MT Div-77 troops.

Battles taking place today, May 2, were the first clashes after the clashes, in the first week of April. Starting from the time after the Water Festival, in the third week of April, the MT beefed up the strength of its Divs. 77 and 88, for offensive.
