POSITION TITLE: Video Editing Intern/Volunteer

ORGANIZATION: Burma Link – Mae Sot, Thailand

REPORTS TO: International Coordinator

START DATE: January 2017

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: The intern will be required to edit videos for a documentary project. This will require organising raw footage, editing videos, editing sound and working with other visual media as requested. The intern will work closely with the Visual Media and Communications Officer and other visual media interns to ensure that the project runs smoothly. The internship might include other tasks related to supporting our Visual Media team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Edit video and sound material
  • Assist other Visual Media Interns and Staff for the documentary project
  • Cooperate closely with the Visual Media and Communications Officer
  • Keep up to date with report reading and other publications, to gain understanding of the current situation
  • Assist with media monitoring and website posting as requested
  • Perform other duties as may be requested

INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL

  • University degree
  • Strong video editing skills (good knowledge of editing softwares is essential, preferably Adobe Premiere Pro)
  • Visual media skills (video and/or photography, video and sound editing)
  • Strong research and editing skills
  • Good knowledge of use of social media websites
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Premier Pro and Photoshop
  • Demonstrated interest in Burma issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
